The Phoenix ZooLights

We took the kids to see the ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo. We wanted to go last year, but couldn't make it because our bodies just weren't adjusted from the time change moving from Ireland to Phoenix. I'm glad we waited. I think this was a much more magical first time experience. The kids lasted long enough that we were able to walk through it all. And we went early enough in the season that it was less expensive and less crowded than if we waited a few weeks.

We were about 15 minutes early, so we had to stand in line until things opened.

We had to stop for a photo just inside the entrance.

We headed straight for the hot chocolate. It was almost as big as Walter's head!

Cool lights on the ground.

The trees were amazing! And periodically the generic Christmas music would stop playing and they'd do a  synchronized light show.

Macy's had a table set up where kids could write their letters to Santa. This was awesome because I'd planned to do that with the kids the next morning and I was going to take them to Macy's to mail them directly to the North Pole.

Gordon wrote his WHOLE letter to Santa with my help only for spelling.  The other two kids wrote their names and "I Want, " while I filled in the name of the toy.  I was so proud of them.

They had a giant talking giraffe statue that interacted with the kids and had them rolling with laughter!
