The kids went in for their 5 year check up yesterday. They were great. Gordon was the only one who got a shot, because he volunteered to take a flu shot since they only had two mist ones left. It didn't even phase him. The doctor was very happy with their health and hopefully we won't see her again until their check up again next year!

Weight, Height, and where they fall on the percentage charts. Healthy kiddos!
The weather is finally cooling off, so we decided to take the kids to the park first thing on Sunday morning. It was very empty, minus a couple of birthday parties. The kids had a blast. We spent a long time over at the zip lines and swings. The kids were so patient waiting their turn and interacted with a few other kids there. It was also a nice day for mom and dad because we didn't have to deal with any bullies or rude kids. All the other park kids were very polite and well-behaved.
This is the chair zip line. The kids all took turns. Sometimes parents would be there to push their own kids, other times Jeff would end up pushing some random kid. This was Adele's favorite.
This was the other zip line. It was a constant 4-5 kids in line. The kids mostly did this one on their own, but sometimes a parent had to help out a little.
The kids lined up for the zip line. I love how Gordon and Adele have the same pose.
Gordon on the play structure, running across the bridge.
Gordon climbing up as Adele chats him up. I loved how the kids weren't just climbing up and going down the slides like the last time we were here (in the Spring). They were exploring all the different areas, ladders, bridges, and more.
Walter climbing up.
Adele asking Jeff to come play.
The kids like to pretend to play this game that involves tracking and tapping the little domes when they light up.
Here's Walter and Gordon cracking up on the tire swing. I ended up pushing kids on this swing for a LONG time. I pushed the boys on two separate occasions. Then I finally got Adele to come over. She was on the swing with another little girl (6.5 years old) who had been with us over at the zip line. The little girl started telling Adele all about the Arizona Science center. Adele was laughing and asking lots of questions. Then the little girl's brother came over, so I pushed the three of them. Adele got down and another girl came up, so I pushed three random kids. I was pretty exhausted!
While I was pushing kids on the tire swing, Jeff rotated the kids through this big swing. Here's Adele. I think this was her second favorite thing after the chair zip line.
Grandpa Wayne and Grandma Elaine were still in town for the kids' birthday. It was a big birthday weekend! On Saturday morning the kids had a soccer game. Then in the afternoon, we went to the Diamondbacks game. Jeff's work had their big family day, so we had free tickets, some Dback bucks to spend, and there was a whole family area set up. Sunday morning, Jeff and I went to the movies while the kids went to their favorite place, the popcorn play place at the theatre. Sunday afternoon, the kids opened their gifts. They had a busy weekend full of activity, sugar, and lots of toys. Basically, the perfect time for five-year-olds.

We had a 45 minute wait to go walk down on the field.

Gordon and his favorite part of the night -- cotton candy.
Walter, Adele, and Grandpa Wayne. The kids asked for cotton candy for the first two hours of our time at the game.

Five-year-old Walter. He didn't want to take a photo, so Adele stood behind me and said, "Okay, Walt. I want to see you look handsome."

Everyone was pretty excited about everyone else's gifts.

Gordon was pretty darn excited about his Hungry, Hungry Hippos game. The kids all got their 'favorites.'

Gordon was pretty happy about his Batman watch
Walter was excited to FINALLY get Spiderman web shooters. He's been asking for them for months.
This year the kids aren't having an official birthday party. We have plans to take them to a big On Semiconductor family day at Chase Field to see the Diamondbacks game. I still wanted them to have a little celebration, so I asked their preschool teacher if I could bring pizza and cupcakes at the end of the morning. The kids all loved it and their friends got to sing "Happy Birthday."
Everyone say, "Pizza!"
I love that Dana, the teacher, made little crowns for the kids to wear. Gordon kept telling me he was a king.
