A quick morning in Adare

I'd mentioned to Jeff that I wanted to get back to Adare to let the kids run around the park.  Since the sun was out this morning, Jeff said we should go.  We lost the sun on the drive, but it was still a great morning!

We parked and went straight across to the park.

The kids were so happy to be let loose.

The ground was pretty wet, so I'm glad I'd packed a change of clothes for all 3 kids!

All 3 of them got into the bird chase

Barely controlled chaos at the pub where we ate lunch, though technically we ate breakfast since most places don't serve lunch until noon or 12:30. But the kids did great for their first time 'let loose' at a restaurant.

Rainy Morning

This morning, like many others here, was rainy so we spent the morning inside. Unlike many other mornings lately, we didn't have creche, or playgroup, or an errand, or the market, or.... So the kids may have been ready for a day just playing. We pulled out toys, played for a while, put them away, then pulled out more.

Playing sticky blocks

They played nicely with each other for almost 10 minutes without me

Adele cooking in her kitchen

I brought down the tub of cars and brought the boxes our for ramps. Naturally the kids decided the boxes and bins were more fun.
Dancing to our favorite song. I just put this one song on repeat about 5 times and the kids love it every time.

More of the dinosaur dance below:

Eventually, we got a little tired and sat down to watch a partial Sesame Street Episode

This photo is from yesterday, but it is a good one of all 3 kids, so I thought I'd better post it here and not just on Facebook

Teething children, photo fails, and the return of fall

Gordon has 2 of his 2-year molars and doesn't seem to be actively working on the next 2.  But Adele and Walt are both teething and this is a miserable household right now.  They are uncomfortable and tired because I don't think they are sleeping well. Hopefully we all survive this round!

The Fall is arriving here with cooler temperatures, more rain, and the start of school. Good news is with the start of school, our toddler play group is going again. Yay! I've seen most of the ladies over the summer, but it was nice to see them all at once.  We didn't stay long due to teething, tired kids, but I'm already looking forward to the next one.

Since I normally only post the 'good' photos, I also thought I'd share a few photo fails. They can be funny in and of themselves.

Packer Shirt Photo attempt 1. Walt looks like he's smiling, but he's not.

Lady! Let me go! Quit trying to torture me

One child finally gained his freedom

And there goes another...

Play group!

Gordon moved this chair to the other side of the room so that he could sit on it.

Jeff had to clean the stroller and none of the kids were happy about it.

The kids wearing us out...

I think the idea when we take the kids outside is to let them run around and wear themselves out, but they usually end up wearing us out. *laugh*

We've been trying to get out every day possible because I can feel the change in the weather looming.

The kids are playing together more and more every day. They are also talking more clearly and stringing multiple words together. Even Walt has had a huge increase in his speech, though he is still the most difficult to understand. Gordon and Adele are singing songs and 'reading' books, too.

Scrunchy face

Cheese!!

Annnnnnnndddd down! (That's what he's saying)

It is funny how they gravitate together to play

People across the river have a helicopter and Adele is signing 'airplane'

Fun with rocks (and I love slightly out-of-focus Adele in the background)

Floating rocks! (he's got Jedi skillz)

I have no idea what this conversation was about

Best hide-and-seek ever!
The kids are all into the song 'baa, baa black sheep.' I wish I could say this video of them was singing. It is not. Please be warned you should turn DOWN your speakers now.

Again, you might want to turn down the speakers. This should be titled 'splash and scream' time. *laugh*
