Tortilla Flats & the Tonto National Forest

Late in the afternoon, we decided to finally take the kids on the drive out to Tortilla Flats. Jeff has been out before. The kids really enjoyed the drive out (over an hour). Well, Adele fell asleep. But the views were amazing and the boys enjoyed all of the cactus and mountains they saw. We then ate dinner at the restaurant in Tortilla Flats before heading home. This time we put on a movie for the kids to watch in the back while I enjoyed the amazing views.

Mesquite GROVES Aquatic Park

If you wonder why 'groves' is capitalized in the title, it is because I drove to the other Mesquite Aquatic park first. On the other side of town, of course!

We were meeting friends this morning and luckily were only 25 minutes late after I went to the wrong park first. The kids were super excited. The aquatic park was amazing. They played in the pool and on the slides for a while, then I took them into the lazy river. That was a lot of fun, but a bit stressful, and the kids got chilled after that. They never really warmed up, so we left soon after.

We will definitely be back!
