Baptism

The kids were baptized into the Catholic Church today. My parents flew in for the ceremony and my brother came as the kids' godparent. Amazingly, Jeff's parents and sister surprised us in flew in, too. It was a beautiful day!

Our first soccer game

The kids joined a soccer league. They've had two practices and had their first game today. Gordon was hot, but having fun, from the beginning. Adele was frustrated and bonked her head in the first minute. But after a break and a pep talk, she was very into the game. Walter played happily until he realized they were losing, though no one was keeping score. He got a nice talk from the other parents and then he started having fun again, too. He also was keeping his own score. We have no idea how you got points according to Walter, but whatever made him happy!

Walter was number 5. We scored a bunch of goals just after halftime. Walter almost scored once.

Gordon had a great time and hustled whenever he saw the ball in action. Adele is the one running in the middle. She had fun and managed to play the ball a number of times.

A birthday party

I took the kids to a birthday party today. The older brother of triplets had a birthday. The kids had a wonderful time. There was face painting, a piñata, and a pool. Not to mention cake and ice cream, which are always a big hit.

My kids were mesmerized by the tv. Cartoon Network was on and the kids had never seen these shows before.

We got home and snuggled on the couch a while.

A morning adventure

The temperature was only in the mid-80's this morning, so Jeff took the kids on an adventure. They rode their big wheels to the other end of our neighborhood and went to a play ground that is normally too hot in the summer. The kids had a fantastic time!
