Oh, so busy!

Since moving into the new house, the kids have started at their new pre-school 3 mornings a week. We also get together with friends (with and without same-age kids) a few times a week. And the kids have had their first doctor's appointment and, today, their first dentist appointment. Not to mention we signed them up for swim lessons once a week. We still manage to have a bit of downtime around the house, but a lot of that is filled with playing outside or popping over to the playground. This is a busy age!!

First, the kids had their 4-year check-up on Jan 13th. They got 4 shots a piece (GULP) and did amazingly well. Their new doctor spent a long time asking me, and them, many questions. She was very happy with how they are developing.  Here are their heights and weights:

Walter - 38lb (50th percentile), 42.75in (75-90th percentile)

Gordon - 43lb (75-90th percentile), 43.5in (90-95th percentile)

Adele - 36lb (50th percentile), 41.75 (75th percentile)

Today, they did amazing at the dentist. They got x-rays, a cleaning, and a visit with the dentist. He was super happy with the boys' teeth. They are smooth, super clean, and have great spacing to leave room for their adult teeth. Adele's teeth are a little more crowded and also have more grooves and pockets. She had one cavity (getting filled tomorrow) and one tooth we're keeping an eye on.

Adele having a turn doing some kicking and dunking with the instructor. She started crying not long after and cried for most the class. But she would calm down briefly each time it was her turn. And then, with about ten minutes left, the instructor took her out on his back while Walter did his kicking & dunking and from then on, she was fine!

Last week, Gordon started crying about 10 minutes into class. This week, he was loving it! He never cried and he and Walt were yakking it up whenever they were on the wall together waiting.

Walter loves swimming. He has the biggest smile on his face for the whole lesson!
