It is rare we stay home for a full day on a week day anymore. We often do on weekends because Jeff is home to help entertain the kids, but when it is just the four of us, I try to get us out for at least a couple hours. Otherwise, the kids and I go stir crazy. But we have a strange schedule this week and I had a number of things I wanted to get done around the house, so we stayed home. We found lots of little things to do and the weather cooperated so we were able to go outside, too. In fact, it turned into a beautiful afternoon!
| After an early lunch, we headed outside. It was still a little chilly. I checked the mail and we'd gotten a package from my Aunt Mary & Uncle Steve. The kids immediately dove into the stickers that were sent! |
| Stickers now done, everyone insisted on putting on their sunglasses. |
| Adele also commandeered my hat. She walked around like this, brim low, for about half an hour. |
| Walter is silly, as the other two kids would say. |
| The kids' Aunt Julie & Uncle Matt sent two of these books for the kids' birthday, so I ordered a 3rd that arrived today. The books have little tracks on every page and the pull-back toy that comes with the book rides along the track. We now have a ladybug, a helicopter, and a train. |
| The kids traded the books around and this was a good 45 minutes of fun |
I also ordered flip books by the same company and Gordon LOVED them. Every time he'd pull back a flap, he'd laugh like it was the biggest surprise in the world. These books are amazing. The photos and text are geared towards older kids, but it hardly matters.

| Checking out the garbage & recycling truck. |
Not long after the garbage truck left, Walt opened the window and climbed barefoot out into the drive. The other two followed. They ran around barefoot for over half an hour. Best thing ever! LOL!
| Jeff found the kids new PJs yesterday at the mall. I love it! It is such a trip to see them in fully matching outfits. |
