Turning off the television

This week I realized I was getting a little too reliant on the television to keep the kids pacified.  I therefore decided to break the habit and turn the tv off. I still let the kids watch the occasional show, but  one of the first things I did was turn them around to eat at the table so we don't watch tv while they eat any longer.

First meal facing the table
The kids are now pros at eating at the table and using spoons!  I've got booster chairs on the way to replace the space saver high chairs.

We've been filling the afternoons with a lot more activities!

Nellie and Val came to visit and the kids helped Val walk around the place on his crutches. Such big helpers! LOL

Adele absolutely loves to draw and will sometimes sit long after the boys have stopped
Playing together in the shower before bath time

Soapy hair is fun!
A couple potraits to pass the time.... Love my boys &  their big smiles

Listening to mom read "Green Eggs and Ham"

The weather has turned towards winter -- frost covers the lawn some mornings

The kids broke into a box and found a whole pile of new books
Here's Adele and Gordon reading together

And my little musician, Adele, singing and playing her tunes

The kids all decided they wanted to rock. Luckily, Gordon and Adele were willing to share.
