Overall, the babies are very healthy. As of today:
Walter - 9lb 3oz
Gordon - 10lb 9oz
Adele - 9lb 12oz
The nurse couldn't believe they were 2 month old triplets. She said that was very big! The doctor said they didn't have ear infections or anything else wrong, so all the crying they've started doing between 7pm and 11pm is most likely colic. Adele, however, is spitting up a lot, so if things stay this frantic for them through the holidays, I might make an appointment to see if she might have reflux.
Okay, now for the fun stuff!! First of all, my mother-in-law and I were lamenting the babies not having any stockings to hang over the fireplace. She wanted me to pick some out and order them, but I hemmed and hawed, unable to decide. I'm so glad that I didn't order any!! My dear friend, Barbara, sent the most beautiful, hand-knit, personalized stockings. I still can't get over how wonderful they are:
I think we're going to have to up the feeding amounts again soon so we'll have to buy new bottles. It just never ends with babies outgrowing stuff!! Hopefully they'll soon outgrow these crying jags. *smile*
GREAT Joey, I love the stockings & these updates are wonderful, I wait anxiously to get the next one!

Wow great news Joey. They are getting so big, and Walter woohoo way to go! Can't wait to see them in Gator wear(hehe). Hope the crying settles down.

The only problem with hand knit stockings is that stretch and will hold an awful lot. A friend made them for my kids and they are big enough that Blake and Paul could wear them now! Blake's Charlie McCarthy dummy fit in it when he was a kid.
ReplyDeleteThe stockings are really beautiful and it's wonderful that she got them finished before Christmas.
Walter must not have read the book about preemies development going with their due dates. He's way ahead with rolling over.
