Changing of the guard

My parents had to leave the day after Thanksgiving and my mother-in-law came in to help out. Unfortunately, my father-in-law got sick on the trip over, so he was banished to a hotel. Though he did come over and put up our Christmas lights! Jeff finally had to deliver on the promise that if we ever stayed home for Christmas, he'd spring for lights up on the house. Now I just need to get the tree and other indoor decorations up.

My mother-in-law bought rocking chairs for the babies (for when they are older) from Max Woody.

Here they are in front of their future seats.
We weighed the babies again last night and Gordon is almost 9lbs! Both Walter and Adele are very close to 8lbs. It is hard to believe they have doubled their weight since birth.

We had a neighbor, professional photographer, over to the house for a session.

She shot a number of photos of them that we'll purchase and hopefully one we can use for Christmas cards. The babies were so cooperative! Here's one of the photos I took during the session.

This was a cute photo I captured of the babies conferencing. *grin* I just know they are plotting something!

  1. Wonderful pictures Joey. They all look like full term newborns now. LOL. Gordon has nearly caught up with where Laura was when she was born... he still has over a pound to get to Andy's birth weight.

Love the rocking chairs! Most excellent. You'll have to let us know if you can ever make them stop moving long enough to actually sit in them ROFLMAO.

  2. I love the pictures - especially the one in the basket - I fear I have to steal the idea - Elsa got weighed today too - she is now
3 Months 12 lbs and 63 cm long
same as little Panda Fu Hu born in Vienna on the same day only he started out with (this little Panda baby started out with 10 cm and 100 g)
Great how big your babies are - amazing!

  3. Those pics are lovely - I like the conferencing one. Plotting little baby conspiracies. A friend of mine got one done of their hands - her, hubby and their two babies hands all together. I don't know how much baby wrangling it took though. *g*

They look so well - healthy, happy, growing like the proverbial growing things. Good stuff.

  4. Aw, super cuties. The light is beautiful on their skin in the basket pic. A basket of super cutie beauties. Good work :)

  5. Love the fact that they are filling out so well and like Teresa says, they look full term not. I'm sure that you don't feel that they will "break" now at least. I'm sure that Jeff's dad is eager to be more active in their care.

  6. The basket photo reminds me of the Anne Geddes baby photos. Beautiful. I love the "conference" photo too. All those little heads together will come up with lots of plots in the future, I'm sure. :0) The rocking chairs are a great gift. The babies will love them.
