Where they'll sleep... or so we hope
We've made great progress on the nursery this weekend. I'm very excited about how the room is coming together. We are big geeks who chose a star / Star Wars theme for our nursery.
Above is the back wall, where the three cribs rest. The bumpers are star patterned, which matches the adhesive stickers I found for the walls. The mobiles are cute little animals and include a projector. We have a piece of artwork in mind for this wall and have our fingers crossed we'll be able to get it when it becomes available.
Above is a view of the left side of the room with the changing table and two of the cribs. The table and cribs are from different stores, but match beautifully. We have a piece of Star Wars artwork that hangs on that wall, but wasn't up when I took the photo.
Above is the front corner of the room. The doors lead to the closet (left) and attached bath (right). We have two pieces of Star Wars art already hanging. Below the photo on the right is where my recliner will sit. We plan to mount the video camera for the monitoring system in the corner between the two doors, where it will hopefully give us a view of all three cribs at once.
Our next step is to clean out the closet to make room for all the baby stuff we're going to have!

The force is strong in those three!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Deb
Sleep the babies will, when all around them such coolness is.
ReplyDeleteI wish mine would sleep in her room. Maybe you will have more luck than I did.
ReplyDeleteOops, that last comment was from me. I'm a dork.

T-- thanks!! Fingers crossed they will sleep there and they will sleep period. *grin*
ReplyDeleteMaggie -- I found those star-covered bumpers and fell in love.
Deb -- May the force be with you! Ha!
Jess -- Hope your words are prophetic, I do.
Charity -- I knew that you were a dork. *grin* J/K Well, if mine grow up to be as delightful as Emmi seems to be, then I guess I could put up with a little restlessness.
ReplyDeleteMay the FORCE be WITH YOU (and Jeff) Peace and Love Aunt Anne
ReplyDeleteThank you, Anne!! *smile*
ReplyDeleteI love the stars theme! Especially as I did something similar for my twins. And I think it really makes an impression on them as the boys always ask me about the stars and moon now!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Joey, a wonderful cozy corner for you wee little ones. :-)
*hugs*
Irish -- Jeff has a bunch of NASA stuff and I think we could add that to the room as the kids get older. I'd love to encourage an interest in the stars, etc. with them. Thank you for the compliments and I do remember how fun & adorable your nursery looked!!
ReplyDeleteJoey, you and Jeff did a great job it's a beautiful room. Perfect for Jedi warriors and a princess. Thanks for sharing
