Mesa Riverview Park
One of the first places a local friend took us was up to Mesa Riverview Park. It is a GORGEOUS park with a splash pad, fishing area, and a ton of play structures. It is located right next to the Cubs Spring Training facility. I've been wanting to go back for a while. When I saw the weather this weekend was to be so gorgeous, I told Jeff we should head up there right after breakfast. I knew we had to get there early to get a decent parking spot.
This park has a playground like they had in Ireland, so we had to stop there first.
Walter headed over to the play area and found his favorite, something that spins fast enough to make him dizzy. Adele joined Walter for a bit, but didn't want to go so fast.
Walter loves to climb. This is a very intricate play area!

A 50 foot climbing structure they have at the park
This gives some idea of the expansiveness of the park. A splash pad, extensive climbing structures, and multiple play areas. Perfect for a gorgeous day!
Everything on this piece shakes and moves.
Here's Daddy to give it a little motion
I held a table for us while Jeff took the kids over to the larger climbing structures
I saw Gordon and Walter playing on this one for a while. They would climb up, then slide down the piece of plastic/rubber you can see in the center.
One small section of this large climbing structure. And one small boy, Walter.
The kids made their way back to the table. They'd eaten all the snacks that I'd brought and worn themselves out, so we decided to go get lunch.
At Chili's, poor Walter got cold. He kept telling Jeff to hug him tighter.
Adele was studying the menu very closely.

Back home, the boys decided to draw some family portraits.
