Lovely Day

This morning was so hectic. But we left the house and headed into town. The first stop was to walk across the bridge to the Sunday market. Then we planned to grab lunch at the cafe and then walk down to the playground. It turned into a beautiful day!

The kids went to watch the ducks and play while I talked to a few vendors.

Taking a break on the stairs with two supermen. At the market we'd bought salad and peppers and tomatoes. I had to go back and buy a second pepper because Gordon ate a whole pepper as we were walking around the market.

We walked across the bridge to go eat lunch at the cafe, but there wasn't a seat in the house. The area was hopping today with people coming in to town for the day.

We ended up stopping at McKeoghs to pick up sandwich supplies and had a picnic by the river.

Enjoying our picnic with a view.

Trust me, this view made folded over peanut butter sandwiches taste like a 5 star meal.

The kids wanted me to chase them!
The kids were separated for about 5 minutes while I took Adele to the toilet. This was what happened when they got back together. I missed getting the Walt/Adele hug on video.

After the picnic, we went to the playground for a while.

Gordon was excited, but so scared, to walk up the rope bridges. He wouldn't even let me help. It had to be Daddy who helped.

After the playground, we went to Scoops for ice cream and then home. Once we were home, the kids played for almost an hour and a half by themselves. Which is not normal, but was great.
