The playground and maybe the start of summer?

The weather has been gorgeous the last two days. It feels like it might be the start of summer! At least, I hope that's the deal. Yesterday morning the kids were at the creche, but I walked to pick them up in the afternoon. Then we walked into town for ice cream and then home.

This morning I took them to the Ballina playground where we met up with Nellie and Aidan. We also spent some time down by the river.  We came home for a quick lunch before heading into Nenagh to run some errands.  Our second stop was at Dunnes (grocery store), and the parking lots was insane. I've never seen it so busy! On the way into the store, we saw a woman, her husband, and their four children. Three of the kids were in a triple stroller, so I, of course, had to ask if they were triplets. The boys were screaming and mom was looking very harried, but she stopped giving me the 'dear heaven, why are you talking to me NOW?' look once she got a hold of my triplets. I didn't keep her, just told her she'd survive, then headed into the store, thankful I was past that stage. Her triplet boys were 18 months old.

Oh, and I measured the kids the other day, just for fun.

Walter - 40"
Gordon - 41"
Adele - 39.25"

Anyway, here are some photos from our morning at the playground.

Adele being silly. I got her to wear an outfit I bought her off Zulily. She looks so grown up!

They had to wait to play on this little equipment because some babies (i.e. toddlers) were there when we first arrived.

We walked down to the river to throw in some rocks. You can see Killaloe and St Flannan's cathedral across the water.

Adele and Walt didn't climb the tree on their own, but they had fun once they got up there.

The kids know I won't push them in the baby swings, but they managed to talk Nellie into pushing them.
