I went shopping for a birthday present for a friend's son, and while at the toy store decided to get the kids some scooters. I still need to pick up their helmets, but I figured I"d let them try out the scooters. Overall, I'd say it was a success. They whined a bunch and we had one tantrum, but that seems to be par for the course at this age.

| Walter was asking to paint from the moment he woke up. I got him to wait until after breakfast, but just barely! |
| When Gordon hears a song he likes, he sometimes stands at the counter near the stereo to listen. Then, "Again, Mom?" |
| Adele has a pair of kitchen utensils that she's named "Chomp." She makes up all kinds of silly games with them. |
| I got a lot of whining and "Mom, scooter's not working," but overall the kids did great and I'd call their first time on scooters a success! |
| Adele cracks me up with the faces she makes. |
| Gordon was a lot more unsure on his versus the other two, but like with everything else, once he's comfortable, he'll be a daredevil. |
| Walt pretty much had it down, even the steering. Though he got frustrated a lot. |
| After lunch we had some quiet time in their room, in the dark. Then we came out and had a snack and used the other side of our easels, which have chalkboards. |
Walter and Adele going very fast, according to them, on their scooters.
This was from yesterday. Gordon and I were playing with a balloon and he was cracking me up.
