3rd birthday party

Tomorrow (Oct 4) is the kids' birthday and I'll send them to the creche for their party at school. However, today we had a party with friends at the house. A month or so ago, I asked Jeff what he thought the kids were into, looking for theme ideas. His first response was 'trucks.' Perfect!!

I printed the banner off the internet and added different styles of trucks.

Not as elaborate as last year's stars, but the kids still noticed the banner first thing.

Adele, especially, thought the banner was special.

The cake from BakeAway. I love it!

The table spread (the empty bowl is for the chicken nuggets & fries in the oven). The juice have "fuel" labels on them and I bought a mix of Fireman Sam, Thomas the Train, and Pixar Cars bday supplies

I made the sugar cookies. Walt stole a wheel off my cracker train. LOL.

Gordon was social right away. Adele sat at the table when I put food down, but she and Walt mostly followed me around the first half hour, tugging on my pants.

And for fun -- trucks! And buses!

Adele finally decided to be social with the babies.

The kids had been excited for their birthday cake ever since we went to pick it up that morning.

Gordon REALLY wanted to touch the frosting. Adele and Walt were listening closely as I explained about blowing out candles.
