The last few days have been rough. Gordon is very, very crabby. I think he's over-tired because Team Berube has declared 6:30pm - 8:30pm crib party time. And Gordon is paying for it in the mornings. Plus he's making the rest of us pay!
Between his crabbiness and the kids insatiable learning appetites, I've been letting them watch a lot of Baby Signing Time. And it shows in the new words they pick up every day -- both signing and verbal.
I mentioned I've been working with Adele on expressing herself instead of screaming. I also tell her "Shhh" when she screams. Well, today every time she screamed she "Shh'd" herself. It was hilarious!
And all three kids are developing a sense of humor. When I put their footed pajamas on, I sometimes pretend to put their arm into the foothole. The kids think this is hilarious.
It was chilly here today, but almost no wind and very sunny. So in the morning we walked down to the grocery store. This afternoon we went outside to run around for a bit. The kids had a good time and I got to visit with our neighbor, Carol, who stopped by to visit when she saw me outside.
Usually the kids have stayed close by to me, but today they split in every direction.

Walter got on the grass for a while, but he mostly wanted to practice walking. He enjoys challenging himself and our steep driveway makes it difficult to walk. So he would walk down the path (and usually fall to crawling) then walk up the driveway. It was a hoot!

Gordon was everywhere! I caught a good photo of him when he went after the hurling ball left in the yard.
Adele prefers staying in the grass. She loves the balls she finds out in the yard. In fact, she sometimes crawls to the back door and asks to go outside by saying 'ball.'

Team Berube on the loose! LOL. I love it.
ReplyDeleteNow I have that song stuck in my head! ;) My 3 love the Baby Signing Time series. Love that Adele is "shhshhing" herself - that is hilarious!
