Wow are things changing

I haven't put this on the blog before, but Team Berube is headed to Ireland. So we've been busy selling the house, finding a new place to live in Limerick, and getting ready for a big move. Of course the first time we take our team on a plane it is going to go international. We don't do anything by half measures.

The kids have also been changing a lot. Adele's language skills are taking off. She's not saying a ton more words, but she's learned that words have meaning and weight. She now knows that if she asks for something, we'll get it for her. Her favorite 3 things to ask for right now are water, crackers, and a hat.

Walter has started walking. He was the first to take a few steps. As of this morning, he can walk half the distance of the family room. I'm rather amused that Gordon was the first to crawl, Adele was the first to stand on her own, and now Walter is the first to walk.

Gordon can stand up anywhere and he'll even bend over to pick things up without holding onto anything. But he won't take those first steps yet. It is amazing how steady he is on his feet. He's also become quite the snuggler. He loves calling out for me and then when he finds me, rushing over for hugs.

The kids have been changing so much and being so fun that I've already taken almost 50 photos this month. I can't post them all, so I'm trying to just pick a few favorites. And that doesn't even include all the videos. If you want to see all of them, my channel on youtube is:

In other big news, we finally took down the gate on the play room. It was either we take it down or the boys were going to do it for us. We still have the hallway blocked off, so the kids have unlimited access only to the family room, kitchen, and playroom. They are loving it!

While my parents were in town, we bought the kids a new table and chairs from IKEA. The chairs are a little too tall until they are walking comfortably, but they enjoy the table.

They also really like 'helping' with chores now. They try to help me swiffer or sweep, they want to climb into the dishwasher, and they really enjoyed helping me fold and put away laundry.

They love, love, love stories. And it is a super treat when Daddy reads to them!

I love that I'm starting to see them play with each other more & more.
