It has been a tough few weeks with Team Berube. The kids have been fighting night time sleep. We gave them a few days of offering comfort, soothing, and letting them stay up a little later. But eventually we figured out it was an 'awareness' related issue and not a physical/pain issue, so we had to let them cry it out. None of them ever fussed for more than 20 minutes, but it is so tough!!
The days are also a little tougher as the kids are becoming more aware. They want my attention more, which is fine, but sometimes even my attention isn't enough. I try to take them out on errands and other fun things, but I also have to keep them from getting overtired. I've discovered a nice compromise is having us all play in the family room while Baby Einstein videos play in the background. They especially love "Baby's First Moves." We like to practice waving, clapping, and the other moves shown in the video. My kids have been starting these various milestones on their own, but they really respond to the kids, and especially puppets, when they do them onscreen.
We tried out a new cart at Target at our last shopping trip. It made my trip so much easier!
Water tastes better to Gordon from his sister's cup.
Jeff took this photo when Walt was trying to do other things. This is his "WTF do you want, Dad?" face.
I don't know why the kids ended up sitting on top of each other, but I know they were up to something!
Your kids are so cute. I don't know HOW you do it, day in and day out-lots of caffiene? Sending warm hugs and kisses to everyone...especially YOU :)

My sister ferberized Brayden. I don't know if I could do it but he's trained to go to sleep at bed time and sleep the night through. The benefit to me as an auntie is when we were in Maui it was such a treat for him to sleep with me that he was incredibly affectionate and I loved it!
ReplyDeleteI think you are amazing! I can't get anything done at all when I'm watching one baby, let alone 3. Thank you for sharing your babies with us. Love the shopping cart!
Well where the heck have I been that I missed these last blog updates?! I honestly don't know how you do it "all" Joey! I remember being overwhelmed with only one infant/toddler at a time. I swear, if these kids keep getting cuter they're just going to pop from cuteness! They look so different and more adorable every day. Adele is looking quite the "girl" these days!! Joey, thanks so much for doing this - it means a lot to us to share this incredible journey with you. I LOVE the pic of them in the Target cart! I'm going to print it out for the "frige update"

You are an amazing mommy. It's so obvious all the hard work you put in and all the love they feel. Thanks for always sharing. I hope my Target gets a cart like that!

Adorable! Love the Target cart - I'm going to have to check if my Target has those, those would really make it easier to shop with the babies.
ReplyDeleteThe Henley's on your boys are so cute (and stylish!) - love those!
