First words, fussy babies

Technically, it is the first of July, but all of these photos and videos are from June, so I'm going to label it such.

I'm very excited for the 9month checkup on July 5th. I can't wait to see how the babies are growing! They seem huge to me. I'm planning to move the boys into a larger diaper size within the week. Gordon's been wearing 12month clothing for 4-5 weeks and I'll move Walter into the same size very soon. Adele is long, but still a skinny-minnie. Of course, once Gordon goes from rocking on hands and knees to crawling, he'll probably drop a lot of weight. But he is still LONG.

Walter has two teeth and seems to be teething with swollen gums and lots of drool. He is starting to push up on hands and knees to rock, but he can already get around the room really well. He just rolls and scoots. It is a hoot to watch.

Gordon spends most of his floor time on his hands and knees, fixating on some object in front of him. One of these days his jedi mind powers will work! Or he'll just finally figure out crawling. He has four teeth, two on top and two on bottom. I don't think his next teeth are far behind...

Adele scoots and rolls her way around the room. She's also experimenting with sounds. The video below shows her with her first word. My friend said 'she's already working daddy for that Ferarri.' But anyone who knows Jeff knows it will be German, whatever car it is. She also has two lower teeth and swollen upper gums. Her favorite thing to do lately is have you hold her so she can practice standing. She will stand for ten minutes playing with a toy. My arms give out before she does!

All three kids can sit for a long time unassisted. They just don't want to. They'd much rather be on their tummies and trying to crawl!

Anyway, here's Walt's general attitude these days, caught in progression.

Here's Gordon sporting his new Star Wars gear! Jeff wishes this shirt came in grown-up sizes.

I turned around for a minute, and the boys got into all kinds of trouble. Of course, they thought it was hilarious. Despite the expression on Gordon's face, he was laughing when I took this photo.

Here's the promised video of Adele's new word.

I also thought I'd share a video of our hummingbirds. The feeder is hung on one of the playroom windows, so we get to watch them all day long.

  1. LOL - I still think Adele saying DaDa is the cutest thing ever. And poor Walter I just want to cuddle him. Gordon is going to be a force of nature I can just see it. ;-)
