The hot has come...

The weather has turned wickedly hot here. We are averaging close to 100 degrees during the day. So we've started taking our walks at 7am when the temps are still manageable.

We've also started finger foods with the kids and I really need to get a video of the kids eating. You'd think they were being tortured between the fussing, the gagging, and the face-making. So far sweet potatoes and toast are the only two things they've actually swallowed. Silly kids! They put everything in their mouths except food.

We've also made the transition to two naps a day -- finally! I love this new schedule. They wake up around 5:45am and go down at 9am, sleep for 90 minutes. Then they are up until 1pm, when they sleep for another 90mins. They go down for bed at 6:30pm. I get nice chunks of free time and most importantly, the kids are sleeping. I just hope they keep it up! We've only been on this schedule for three days.

None of the babies are sitting on their own yet, but they are trying to sit up in their bouncy chairs, so we got Walt a new chair. Here he is, loving it!
Grandma Elaine sent the cutest dress for Adele. She was hamming it up for the camera:
The kids love their new playroom. And our cat, Earl, loves that he can keep an eye on all of his babies.

We also put up a play yard in the family room because the boys kept trying to roll into the fireplace. Here are Adele and Gordon playing together inside the play yard.

Walt still loves his exersaucer

And Gordon still giggles

  1. Even with the 2 naps a day schedule I don't know how you find the time or energy to keep up with this blog - but I'm sure glad you do because they sure give me a *grin* and put a great ray of sunshine in my day. Thanks kiddo!
